Job Highlights


We are seeking a skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team at Envalior. In this role, you will be responsible for the financial reporting of a legal entity, including managing day-to-day accounting activities, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, audits, and other local compliance. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with IFRS, local GAAP (HGB), and internal guidelines, as well as preparing, reconciling, and analyzing balance sheets and profit & loss statements.


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including managing the accounting team and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and analyze balance sheets and profit & loss statements on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP (HGB), and internal guidelines.
  • Responsible focal point for outsourced shared-service provider regarding transactional accounting.
  • Evaluation of business transactions on recognition, valuation, and reporting requirement.
  • Responsible for independent preparation of statutory financial statements according to German local GAAP (HGB).
  • Assist in the preparation of tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as a primary contact for the legal entity under responsibility for corporate functions, business units, external auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist management with financial planning, including presentations and other ad hoc analysis.

Requirements



  • Degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Several years of professional experience in an international company or audit firm.
  • Well-founded knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and German GAAP (HGB).
  • Distinct understanding of business contexts with a high affinity for processes as well as goal and solution-oriented skills based on practice.
  • Very good analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
  • Founded SAP-Knowledge.
  • High ability to work in an international team, commitment, and resilience.
