Senior Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Expert to join our dynamic Finance team at Envalior. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the reporting of several legal entities, including managing day-to-day accounting activities, monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing, audits and other local compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP (HGB) and internal guidelines.
- Responsible focal point for outsourced shared-service provider regarding transactional accounting.
- Evaluation of business transactions on recognition, valuation and reporting requirement.
- Responsible for independent preparation of statutory financial statements according to German local GAAP (HGB).
- Assist in the preparation of tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Providing guidance for the rest of the German accounting team.
- Act as a primary contact for the legal entities under responsibility for corporate functions, business units, external auditors and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Master degree or equivalent graduate in Finance with focus on accounting.
- Several years of professional experience in an international company or audit firm.
- Well-founded knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and German GAAP (HGB).
- Distinct understanding of business contexts with a high affinity for processes as well as goal and solution oriented skills based on practice.
- Very good analytical and conceptual skills.
- Very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
- Founded SAP-Knowledge.
- High ability to work in an international team, commitment and resilience.
