Structural Engineer in Hydropower Project Development

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG. As a key member of our hydropower project development team, you will be responsible for contributing to the civil and structural engineering aspects of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to feasibility studies, basic and tender design, and detailed design and construction of greenfield and rehabilitation hydropower projects.
- Review and comment on existing civil and structural designs of HPP project components.
- Design review as an owner's engineer during the execution phase of hydropower projects worldwide.
- Perform structural stability analysis of hydraulic structures, such as weirs, barrages, dams, and waterways.
- Design and analyze different components of hydropower structures on the detailed design level, including layout and reinforcement drawings.
- Prepare technical specifications for civil works.
- You hold a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering and hydraulics.
- You have more than 10 years of experience working in a similar context, preferably as a structural engineer in hydropower projects.
- You are familiar with relevant engineering topics and have experience with standard software tools.
- You have knowledge of BIM and Autodesk products, such as Revit and Civil3D.
- You have basic knowledge of geotechnical design required for structural analysis and design of foundations and stability analysis of structures.
- You are familiar with related American and European design standards and codes.
- You have working experience on an international and national level.
- You are fluent in English and have good knowledge of French.
- You are willing to undertake regular trips to project countries.
