About the Role

Finance in Motion is a global impact asset manager dedicated to sustainable development in low and middle-income countries. We are seeking a Chief Engineer for Sustainable Energy Projects to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of wind and PV projects, ensuring alignment with company and project environmental, health, and safety policies.
  • Plan and manage project development engineering activities, including design review and technical oversight.
  • Establish and maintain engineering, design criteria, and applicable standards and specifications for wind and PV projects.
  • Support technical diligence on site selection and project acquisitions.
  • Direct activities of designers, consultants, and contractors, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely delivery.
  • Write, edit, and review technical scope of work documents, specifications, procedures, and site reports.
  • Collaborate in proposal preparation and coordination, including gathering, verifying, editing, and formatting proposal information.
  • Contribute to the development of engineering capability, project engineering management processes, and technology roadmap.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Project, or Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Economics.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of a CEE language is a must.
  • Confident and experienced in working in an interdisciplinary engineering field.
  • Profound in working with figures and calculation tools, with the ability to analyze and illustrate results for decision making.
  • Engineering experience in the wind and/or solar PV project development industry is preferred.
  • Significant relevant experience in project management, new product introductions, supply chain, and procurement engineering.
