Job Summary:

Connecting Experts is seeking an experienced Procurement Sustainability Manager to drive the company's commitment to sustainable sourcing and ensuring the supply chain aligns with global sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability into all facets of the procurement process, including product development, operations, and marketing teams.
  • Monitor and report on sustainability measures and key performance indicators (KPIs) within the procurement function.
  • Ensure adherence to pertinent reporting guidelines, certifications, and sustainability standards.
  • Lead projects aimed at enhancing procurement operations' sustainability performance over time.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sustainable sourcing plan that complements the organization's overarching sustainability objectives.
  • Assess the supply chain's potential positive impact on the environment and society.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on sustainability factors, such as labor practices, ethical standards, and environmental impact.
  • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure alignment with sustainability goals.
  • Establish and implement procurement policies that support environmentally friendly practices.
  • Identify and address sustainability-related issues within the supply chain.
  • Develop contingency plans to ensure supply chain resilience.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective sustainability solutions.
  • Familiarity with relevant sustainability certifications, such as Fair Trade, FSC, and ISO 14001.
