Junior Cost Estimator for Infrastructure Projects

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Junior Cost Estimator for Infrastructure Projects. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the financial planning and analysis of large-scale transportation construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing detailed cost assessments for various infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct cost evaluations for construction activities through independent calculations and by sourcing prices from subcontractors, collaborating closely with the procurement team.
  • Perform independent quantity take-offs based on project blueprints and specifications.
  • Compile comprehensive cost estimates and pinpoint areas for potential cost savings within the operational framework.
  • Formulate technical strategies as part of the cost estimation process.
  • Conduct project-specific risk assessments and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain and update calculation databases to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • Prior experience in construction management or cost estimation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with billing and estimation software is essential.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach.
