Research Associate for Earth System Modelling

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Associate to join our team at the University of Hamburg. As a Research Associate, you will be part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary research environment focused on Earth System Modelling.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in Earth System Modelling, with a focus on improving our understanding of Earth system processes and dynamics. You will work closely with our team of internationally renowned experts to develop and apply numerical models, analyze large data sets, and conduct statistical analyses.
Responsibilities- Conduct research in Earth System Modelling, with a focus on improving our understanding of Earth system processes and dynamics.
- Develop and apply numerical models to simulate Earth system processes.
- Analyze large data sets to identify patterns and trends in Earth system dynamics.
- Conduct statistical analyses to evaluate the performance of numerical models.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong academic background in a relevant field, such as physics, geophysical sciences, ecology, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, or political science. You should also have excellent research skills, including the ability to design and conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and draw meaningful conclusions.
