Lead the Income Tax Team Germany

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the Income Tax Team Germany, comprising 3-4 Certified Tax Advisors. Your expertise will be essential in preparing tax returns and other filings, reviewing tax assessments, and providing tax advisory services to German businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare tax returns and other filings, review tax assessments
  • Provide tax advisory services to German businesses, including support in business projects, tax and accounting questions, and domestic restructurings
  • Support the German income tax audits
  • Prepare monthly tax reporting for US GAAP group reporting, Year End tax reporting for statutory accounts, and quarterly tax cash forecasts
  • Support the tax planning team on tax accounting impacts of projects
Requirements
  • University degree in Taxes, Finance, Accounting, or Economics, with a qualification as a German tax advisor (Steuerberater)
  • Long-term relevant professional working experience in the tax department of a public accounting firm or a multinational company, with excellent knowledge and experience in direct tax
  • Excellent knowledge of US GAAP Tax Accounting and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including HGB (German GAAP)
  • Ability to think big picture and understand the impact of tax on business-driven transactions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment independently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present complex topics to management
  • Fluency in English and German is essential
