Principal Engineer for Ticketing Integration

Our innovative product, The Mobilitybox, serves as an API-first solution that empowers businesses to seamlessly incorporate public transit into their applications or platforms. Built on a foundation of Ruby-on-Rails and designed with microservices in a Kubernetes/Docker environment, our technology is at the forefront of the mobility landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a standardized ticketing interface that is open and fully compliant across Europe, collaborating with a dedicated team.
- Create backend services that ensure our partners have the most user-friendly and efficient ticketing integration available.
- Standardize various ticketing protocols and tariff systems to enhance service consistency.
- Continuously improve our offerings by innovating and adding new features based on partner feedback.
- Proven experience in developing open interfaces, particularly within the public transport or mobility sectors.
- Strong knowledge of public transit ticketing technologies, including VDV-KA, Motics, UIC-Barcodes, and ION.
- A user-centric mindset, with a desire to understand how your developments are utilized by clients.
- A proactive approach to contributing your expertise and ideas towards our collective vision.
