Strategic Procurement Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our Procurement & Supplier Management team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our procurement strategy and ensuring the efficient and compliant execution of procurement processes.
Your Mission
- You will serve as the central interface with our suppliers, ensuring that regulatory requirements are met efficiently and in compliance with our policies.
- You will negotiate contracts, conduct tenders, and evaluate offers to secure the best possible deals for our company.
- You will create centralized reporting to monitor regulatory requirements and conduct regular supplier audits to identify potential risks.
- You will advise internal consumers and third-party managers on necessary risk assessments and lead the third-party governance management in the purchasing team.
Your Qualifications
- You hold a completed degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Sustainability Management, or a comparable qualification.
- You have professional experience in international supplier relationship management, vendor management, and the purchasing of indirect goods.
- You possess in-depth knowledge and a far-reaching understanding of regulatory requirements and relevant laws and standards in the procurement process.
- You have experience conducting audits and assessments of suppliers and vendors.
- You are proficient in German and English, combined with strong negotiating skills.
- You possess strong analytical abilities, a willingness to move things forward, and enthusiasm to make the best decision for our company.
