Job Summary

Penta Search Group is seeking an experienced Strategic Buyer - Raw Materials Procurement to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing supplier management and strategy from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct national and international supplier negotiations from A to Z, including preparation, implementation, and closing.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including qualification, evaluation, and auditing.
  • Procurement market analyses and global sourcing are not unknown topics for you, and you organize on the basis of tenders using digital purchasing tools.
  • Initiate purchasing projects with suppliers in line with the purchasing strategy and are responsible for setting up, processing, and implementing the projects.
  • Coordinate with various departments on needs and markets and support purchasing monitoring with regard to price development and expectations.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5+ years of experience in purchasing within a manufacturing industrial company (Consumer/FMCG/Food/Personal Care/Chemical).
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
  • Familiarity with the procurement market and its challenges.
  • Occasional travel (Local, Regional, and Global) is required.
  • Hands-on mentality, negotiation skills, and assertiveness are essential.
  • Team player with social skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Resilient and flexible in your way of working.
  • Structured, goal-oriented, and performance-oriented work approach.
  • Very good command of written and spoken English and German.
