Penta Search Group is seeking a seasoned Strategic Buyer to lead our Raw Materials Procurement efforts.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly experienced Strategic Buyer to join our team and take on the challenge of developing and implementing supplier management and strategy from scratch. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for conducting national and international supplier negotiations, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supplier management and strategy from scratch
  • Conduct national and international supplier negotiations
  • Manage supplier relationships, including qualification, evaluation, and auditing
  • Procurement market analyses and global sourcing are not unknown topics for you
  • Organize tenders using digital purchasing tools
  • Initiate purchasing projects with suppliers in line with the purchasing strategy
  • Set up, process, and implement projects
  • Coordinate with various departments on needs and markets
  • Support purchasing monitoring with regard to price development and expectations

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5+ years of experience in purchasing within a manufacturing industrial company (Consumer/FMCG/Food/Personal Care/Chemical)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
  • Knowledge of the procurement market and its challenges
  • Occasional travel (Local, Regional and Global)
  • Hands-on mentality, negotiation skills, and assertiveness
  • Team player with social skills and excellent communication skills
  • Resilient and flexible in your way of working
  • Structured, goal-oriented, and performance-oriented
  • Very good command of written and spoken English and German

About You:

  • You are an experienced strategic buyer (m/f/d) who likes negotiations even in challenging situations
  • You come from the FMCG/Cosmetics/Personal Care environment and sourced raw materials and packaging
  • You have completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk or similar and/or have completed a degree
