Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Junior Vinyl Record Press Operator to join our team at OBJECTS Manufacturing Oberspree GmbH. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring vinyl record pressing machines to ensure the efficient production of high-quality records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Operate vinyl record pressing machines in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines, monitoring equipment performance and making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal production output.
  • Quality Control: Conduct visual and audio inspections of pressed records to ensure they meet quality standards, identifying and addressing any defects or imperfections in the finished product.
  • Material Handling: Load vinyl pellets, labels, and sleeves into the pressing machine, ensuring proper alignment and distribution, and monitoring material levels to prevent production interruptions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production records, including settings logs, run times, and any issues encountered during the pressing process, communicating effectively with shift leads and supervisors to report production status and any potential issues.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on pressing machines to ensure they remain in good working condition, clearing any jams or blockages promptly to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues, reporting any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate personnel immediately.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (vinyl experience a plus, but not a requirement)
  • Familiarity with operating machinery and basic mechanical principles
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
