TRICARE Beneficiary Services Representative

Are you looking for a challenging role in the healthcare industry? Do you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? Leidos is seeking a Beneficiary Services Representative to join our team in Ramstein-Germany.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical or clinical environment and be proficient in written and oral communications. They will also have knowledge of TRICARE Overseas programs, Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS), and MHS Genesis.
As a Beneficiary Services Representative, you will provide education and enrollment services to TRICARE beneficiaries, verify benefits eligibility, and process enrollments and disenrollments. You will also provide customer service to beneficiaries on the phone and in person.
Key responsibilities include:
- Verifying benefits eligibility and processing enrollments and disenrollments
- Providing education and enrollment services to TRICARE beneficiaries
- Providing customer service to beneficiaries on the phone and in person
- Collecting and processing transfer information for active-duty and active-duty family member portability/disenrollment processes
- Conducting briefings for In Processing, Out Processing, Maternity, pre-separation/retirement, and others
- Providing basic claims assistance and collecting and recording health information
- Assessing the appropriate assistance level needed and referring or escalating as needed
- Collecting and reporting information on daily activities performed
- Completing on a timely basis and complying with HIPAA regulations, Leidos, and other training and refresher courses
- Maintaining confidentiality and proper handling of Protected Health Information
- Providing remote support to Leidos BSRs at other sites and providing shadow support to new BSRs as needed
Requirements include:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be SOFA/Command Sponsored as a dependent of an Active-Duty Service Member, DoD employee, or US Contractor supporting the DoD
- Must be a US Citizen
- Be eligible for and maintain ADP IT/III clearance access level
- Three years' cumulative experience in the following areas:
- Experience in U.S. military healthcare delivery system or civilian managed care medical/administrative environment
- Experience in a medical or clinical environment
- Experience with MHS Genesis or civilian healthcare computer system and in processing medical claims
- Experience in a customer service environment
Desired qualifications include:
- Fluency in English
- Proficient in written and oral communications
- Possess effective presentation skills
- Computer literate with Internet research experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 2010 or later applications—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to reply tactfully with people on the phone and in person
- Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge of TRICARE Overseas programs, Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS), DOES, and MHS Genesis
