The Compliance Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operational, commercial, and legal teams to analyze and evaluate compliance on site level and define solutions. This role will also support the standardization of technical and facility-related processes and mechanisms.
This opportunity combines compliance and permit management, construction engineering, planning, project management, facilities management, and contract management. The ideal candidate will have significant project management, construction, or engineering experience with a focus on permitting or compliance and a proven track record of managing both new builds and the enhancement of existing industrial buildings.
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing technical regulatory compliance of Amazon fulfillment network buildings, identifying and governing compliance-related risks, and managing projects to mitigate risk. They will also be responsible for governance of licenses and permits on site and regional level, managing internal audits to proactively assure compliance with all permits and regulatory requirements, and identifying improvement opportunities in internal processes and mechanisms.
The Compliance Manager will collaborate with construction and other engineering teams in the design of new buildings and building conversions to assure compliance management throughout the project. They will provide technical direction and consult within engineering design, building design, details, schedules, installation, and commissioning.
The Compliance Manager will also be responsible for change management and support to operational and central teams on change in Amazon buildings, coaching and guiding key teams regarding compliance of the full asset lifecycle, and preparing reports, specifications, and technical analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering, construction, or surveying, or a relevant other degree, and professional experience as a compliance manager, permit manager, engineer, construction manager, or similar field. They will also have project management and engineering experience, German and English language proficiency, and a willingness to travel frequently within Europe, up to 50% of the time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
