Job Description

Project Overview:

Pagateq is a fintech company owned by Deutsche Bank in Germany, responsible for processing merchant payments. The project involves developing and maintaining new services to provide merchants with access to online payments, covering multiple payment schemes such as Mastercard, Visa, SEPA direct debit, PayPal, Klarna, and iDEAL.

The platform is designed to be highly scalable, resilient, and secure, complying with PC-DSS standards. It offers merchants access to multiple reporting and analytics services, as well as e- and m-commerce capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration, maintenance, and upkeep of the payment service platform
  • Integration with major payment providers, including cards, SEPA direct debit, PayPal, Klarna, and iDEAL
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, IT administrators, and business analysts
  • Troubleshooting and resolving software issues
  • Monitoring application health, security compliance, and performance
  • Delivering new and improved capabilities in systems monitoring, recovery, and stability
  • Assisting in the setup and configuration of new platform infrastructure
  • Responding to and resolving escalated technical issues
  • Creating and maintaining documentation related to best practices and troubleshooting guides

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong IT background with excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Service-oriented experience/background preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of RestAPIs, Java, JBoss, Oracle, and authentication messages
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude in dynamic IT environments
  • Fin-tech background
  • Ability to function as part of an international team with different locations

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in the payment area, including payment messages

English: B2 Upper Intermediate

German: C1 Advanced
