Job Summary
As a Commissioning Engineering Specialist at Colt Technology Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centres. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the thorough testing, verification, and validation process of our data centre infrastructure before it becomes operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commissioning plans to ensure that our data centres are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues during the commissioning process.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure that commissioning activities are aligned with the overall project objectives and timelines.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on commissioning progress and ensure that they are informed of any changes or issues that may impact the project.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external commissioning agents and vendors to ensure that our data centres are commissioned to the highest standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data centre commissioning and testing, with a strong understanding of data centre engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for data centre commissioning and testing.
