About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at Media. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting the German People Department to ensure we're delivering an exceptional employee experience as we scale rapidly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide competent, friendly, and advisory support across all locations as a contact person for all employee concerns relating to various HR and labor law issues along the employee lifecycle.
  • Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and promote a positive work culture through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Build close and trusting working relationships both internally and externally and conduct employee interviews.
  • Support the implementation of global/regional HR programs. You will work on national and international HR projects.
  • Create reports as required and update the local people decks and people sites.
  • Operational HR work/administration: support in the entire HR management process, from on- to off-boarding.
  • Together with the team, you will manage HR administration, such as maintaining employee information, holidays, and maintaining master data in Workday and processing enquiries via our ticket system.
  • Whether it's certificates of employment, employment contracts, amendments, or employment and interim references: You conscientiously create all contract documents and work on the preparatory payroll accounting.

Requirements

  • You have completed a commercial apprenticeship, a university degree, or a comparable qualification.
  • You have at least 2-3 years of relevant and in-depth experience as an HR Generalist, HR Manager, etc. in a fast-paced organization; ideally in an international environment.
  • Profound knowledge of labor, wage tax, and social security law as well as the use of MS Office programs is a prerequisite and experience with HR software (such as Workday) is an advantage.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills are a must.
  • A team player with an unbreakable positive mindset.
  • An self-starting, structured, and diligent way of working as well as discretion and professionalism.
  • Analytical thinking skills and an interest in complex, business-relevant contexts.
  • Strong solution-oriented communication skills and intercultural competence as well as a confident presence.
  • Critical and never afraid to ask the right questions.
  • Hands-on mentality and enjoyment of daily challenges round off your profile.
