Our firm is a prominent global investment organization specializing in the advisory of capital allocations to expanding mid-sized enterprises. Established in 1988, we have successfully completed over 1,000 transactions, with our current international portfolio encompassing more than 140 entities.

Our primary focus lies within the mid-market sector, typically engaging with enterprises valued at up to €250 million. We operate from 16 offices across North America, Europe, and Australia, employing over 300 local experts proficient in more than two dozen languages. Our proactive and engaged investment strategy is designed to foster growth within our portfolio companies. We take pride in collaborating with exceptional management teams to enhance the fundamental quality and measurable scale of businesses.

Our European operations are centered around six key locations: Brussels, London, Munich, Luxembourg, Stockholm, and Madrid, supported by approximately 30 professionals dedicated to investment, origination, and operational functions. We are currently deploying capital from our seventh European fund, managing assets exceeding €13 billion. Our deal flow remains robust across targeted European regions and within our four industry focuses: Software & Technology, Consumer Goods, Healthcare, and Sustainable Manufacturing & Distribution.

Position Overview
The Associate plays a vital role in transaction execution and oversight of portfolio companies. This position encompasses all facets of the investment lifecycle: deal sourcing, financial modeling, due diligence, execution, portfolio management, and exit strategies. The Associate is integral to the team, providing comprehensive support across all dimensions of deal execution and portfolio oversight.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting in-depth industry and deal-specific research;
  • Drafting detailed memoranda for investment committees and internal stakeholders;
  • Creating robust and accurate financial models;
  • Engaging in company visits and management presentations;
  • Assisting in due diligence efforts, including the collection and analysis of financial, commercial, legal, and tax information, compiling industry and market research (desktop research, expert consultations, etc.), coordinating with advisors, and organizing data rooms;
  • Generating analyses to assess add-on opportunities for existing portfolio entities;
  • Contributing to the formulation of value enhancement strategies for newly acquired businesses;
  • Assisting in the preparation of quarterly reports for limited partners.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of pertinent experience in investment banking, transaction services, management consulting, or within an investment organization, and must be fluent in both German and English. Exceptional communication, writing, and financial modeling skills are essential, along with an analytical and commercially oriented mindset—capable of interpreting market trends and their implications for corporate strategy and business models. A strong academic background from a reputable university is also required.
Furthermore, the candidate should exhibit self-assurance and a balanced demeanor, able to evaluate business scenarios from multiple viewpoints and consider potential solutions within a broader context. An interest in emerging market trends and new technologies, coupled with a curiosity for innovative ideas, is highly desirable. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate a collaborative spirit, a strong work ethic, and the ability to present effectively to all levels of management, both internally and externally.
