Railway Construction Inspector

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Railway Construction Inspector to join our team at Eiffage Infra-Rail GmbH in Cologne. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our railway construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement construction schedules and manage site personnel, including non-union workers.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Monitor work performance and quality, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Manage and maintain site documentation, including safety and environmental records.
  • Oversee and coordinate with external contractors and suppliers.
  • Identify and document any deviations from project plans.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, including apprentices and trainees.

Requirements:

  • Relevant vocational training and qualification as a railway inspector or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in railway construction and management, including experience as a foreman or team leader.
  • Proficiency in standard software applications.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Desirable: existing or willingness to obtain training as a trainer or instructor.
