Business Development Representative

Key Responsibilities

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for providing key outbound prospecting, sales support, and lead development for IFS Ultimo. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Enterprise Asset Management Applications and be able to effectively engage with prospects and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use various channels to engage prospects and qualify them as valid sales opportunities.
  • Develop cold accounts into warm and targeted accounts through various efforts to provide value.
  • Regularly communicate with sales representatives to review assigned accounts and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain relationships with an assigned group of target accounts and develop value in working with IFS Ultimo.
  • Understand the functional competitive advantages of the IFS Ultimo solution set and customize messaging to gain traction in accounts.
  • Work through 'Gatekeepers' to gain access to the relevant person/s in the prospective organization hierarchy.
  • Work with pre-sales and marketing teams to develop the territory and identify high-quality opportunities.
  • Keep accurate electronic records of calls and contacts and update prospect status within the contact management application.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 1+ years of proven software telemarketing, business development, inside sales, or software sales experience.
  • Ability to ask open-ended questions to uncover needs, learn more about the prospect, and better qualify.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Highly coachable, willing to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a specific emphasis on telephone skills.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Experience with contact management applications, such as SalesLoft or Outreach.
