Logistics Business Development Specialist

Unlocking Logistics Potential
We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our Central European team, focusing on Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, and Romania. The ideal candidate will have expertise in influential networking and prospecting, with a proven track record of generating new business opportunities across multiple industry sectors.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate new business relationships, leverage existing ones, and develop strong connections to drive a pipeline of new opportunities
- Leverage various sales channels to prospect, including existing relationships, external events, and networking
- Deliver personal business targets, contributing to overall new business growth
- Support the development of bid responses, case studies, customer testimonials, past performance, accreditations, and marketing collateral with content and messaging focused on customer needs
- Manage prospects/customer enquiries, including opportunity assessment Q&A's, customer updates, etc.
- Attend customer briefings and/or arrange attendees for customer meetings, preparing high-quality presentation materials
What You Need to Succeed:
- Excellent understanding of the logistics industry
- Broad network across Europe
- Ability to nurture and develop relationships with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders
- Proven track record of lead generation, project management, and project qualification, as well as delivering new business sales
- Experience in creating and presenting solutions and commercial proposals
- Motivation to work with existing clients to find extra opportunities and lead continuous improvement projects
- Good commercial awareness, including finance and negotiation skills
- Effective communication skills, team spirit, pro-active, and forward-thinking approach
- Ambition to grow within GXO Logistics (development opportunities available)
