Administrative and Financial Expert (m/f/x) Part-time

As part of its growing activities, the Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques Luxembourg is recruiting an Administrative and Financial Expert (m/f/x).

Your Employer:

The Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques Luxembourg is a foundation with a permanent public interest mission, approved and under contract with the State. It promotes science among young people aged 11 to 21 by organising the national Jonk Fuerscher competition, the Luxembourg International Science Expo (LISE), cultural exchanges within the Mobisciences programme, its training programme Science: Next, as well as international activities.

Job Responsibilities:

You will assist the Director in managing the administrative and financial operations of the Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques Luxembourg.

Administrative Duties:

  • Assist the Director in drafting administrative reports
  • Draft and update management procedures when necessary
  • Ensure the office's compliance with GDPR regulations on administrative and financial aspects

Accounting and Finance:

  • Monitor invoices, accounting, and budget coding, and close the annual accounts in collaboration with the fiduciary
  • Manage payment tracking and project cost monitoring
  • Organise and lead the annual financial audit and prepare the financial statements

Desired Profile:

  • You are motivated by the Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques Luxembourg's diverse missions to promote science among young people
  • You are fluent in at least two of the country's administrative languages, including Luxembourgish and English
  • You hold at least a bachelor's degree in administrative and accounting management and have 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • You are known for your interpersonal skills, sense of responsibility, and service-oriented attitude
  • You can manage your time effectively, meet deadlines, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and generally work across different missions.
