Role Overview
As the Director of Product Operational Excellence, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the Product Operations strategy in collaboration with the Senior Director of Product and Tech Operations. Your leadership will guide a talented team across multiple regions, ensuring alignment and effectiveness in our product development processes.
Key Responsibilities
Practices & Communication
- Develop and enhance practices, processes, tools, and documentation standards to ensure operational efficiency and relevance.
- Facilitate collaboration among product teams through organized events and rituals, both in-person and remotely.
- Implement strategies to improve the visibility and accessibility of our plans and documentation for all stakeholders.
Strategy & Planning
- Establish a streamlined planning process that aligns with organizational goals, translating them into actionable roadmaps.
- Improve tracking of features and enhancement requests to foster collaboration and transparency in product development.
- Provide Product Managers with reliable data to support informed decision-making.
Tooling
- Investigate and utilize tools for roadmapping and planning to enhance our product development capabilities.
Product Management Craft
- Support product teams in adopting best practices and methodologies for product management.
- Encourage continuous improvement in product management standards.
- Assist in the product onboarding process in collaboration with the People team.
Leadership Duties
- Oversee the Product Operations function, building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Act as a liaison between the Product organization and global stakeholders.
- Identify systemic operational challenges and prioritize solutions.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in product management, with significant experience in product operations within a large, diverse organization.
- Strong understanding of product management best practices and frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Ability to navigate shifting priorities and unknowns.
- Experience in coaching product managers.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Lean and Agile mindset.
