Job Overview

Certara is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team in the EMEA division. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving growth for our existing solutions, managing inside sales for tier 3 Life Sciences companies, and building and maintaining a thorough understanding of our software products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, make outbound calls to potential customers, and follow up on leads.
• Understand customers' needs and identify sales opportunities.
• Answer potential customers' questions and send additional information via email.
• Keep up with product and service information and updates.
• Create and maintain a database of current and potential customers.
• Explain and demonstrate features of products and services.
• Stay informed about competing products and services.
• Upsell products and services.
• Research and qualify new leads.
• Close sales and achieve sales targets.
• Grow sales by successfully initiating client contacts, generate new leads, and follow up on assigned leads.
• Document communication/discussions and all opportunity details to ensure a tracked record of existing correspondence and/or future next steps required.
• Meet/exceed sales quota on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Follow Certara processes and best practices for properly working Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs).
• Document all activities (phone and email outreach) within our Salesforce Lightning CRM.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an inside sales representative or business development manager, preferably within the top 50 pharmaceutical companies and enterprise B2B SaaS industry or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree (in a science discipline) or equivalent work experience, Master's degree or advanced business degree in the science discipline is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail for capturing all sales interaction into Salesforce.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and set priorities.
• Ability to work in a high energy team environment.
• Able to fully utilize the MS Office suite (Excel/Word/PPT).
• Salesforce experience is highly valued.
• Proven track record of high level of sales performance in a competitive, dynamic marketplace.
• Speaks fluent English.
