POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst (m/f/d) to join our office in Frankfurt. This role is vital to our Credit Risk Department, which plays a significant part in safeguarding our financial stability by meticulously evaluating creditworthiness, establishing prudent credit limits, and consistently monitoring credit exposure. The Senior Credit Analyst will be an integral member of a global team, reporting directly to the Head of Credit Risk Management for the EMEA region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform thorough credit risk evaluations and analyses for both new and existing clients, ensuring compliance with the company's risk policies and regulatory standards.
- Employ risk models and methodologies to assess and mitigate credit risk effectively.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Finance, Customer Services) to facilitate business opportunities while safeguarding the company's financial integrity.
- Negotiate credit limits with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage with banks and external rating agencies as necessary.
- Monitor and report on the credit quality of the portfolio, identifying trends and potential risks.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in credit risk management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in credit risk analysis or a related field within an international corporate or financial institution.
- Experience managing a diverse customer portfolio across various industries and cultures.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong understanding of financial data from both internal and external sources.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Excel, SAP, and Power BI.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse, international environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
