Postdoctoral Researcher in Conservation Genomics

Key Responsibilities
- Generate, process, and analyze genomic sequencing data, focusing on population genomic analysis such as population structure and estimating key statistics like ROH and Ne.
- Publish research findings in reputable peer-reviewed scientific journals and present results at international conferences while reporting outcomes to collaborators.
- Mentor MSc thesis students and/or supervise BSc summer interns.
Candidate Profile
- PhD in Population Genomics, Conservation Genomics, or Bioinformatics.
- Strong understanding of conservation-related population genetic theory.
- Proficient in downstream genomic data analysis, particularly SNP analysis.
- Experience with remote computing clusters in a UNIX/BASH environment, including job submission and data analysis pipeline creation.
- Collaborative work ethic with a passion for engaging in laboratory settings and with international teams.
- Experience or interest in collaborating with conservation managers.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
- Strong organizational skills for personal and research activities.

Contract Details
This position is limited to two years, with a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, and offers a salary according to the collective agreement of the State of Hessen (TV-H), pay grade E13.
