Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Director of Childcare to join our team at AWO Berlin Kreisverband Südost e.V.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement pedagogical concepts and strategies to ensure high-quality childcare services
  • Collaborate with the management team to plan and manage resources, including budgeting and personnel management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and cooperation
  • Supervise and support childcare staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to childcare
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in childcare
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in early childhood education or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role in childcare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
