About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Amazon Web Services Development Center Germany GmbH - R28 team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the Linux distribution that powers Amazon Web Services (AWS) with a focus on Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).

Our team is responsible for building and maintaining the Linux distribution that powers Amazon Web Services (AWS) with a focus on Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). We are looking for experienced software developers who are passionate about building the platform to support the world's premier cloud computing environment.

Requirements
  • Experience in professional software development.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Development experience in a Linux environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
  • Experience with at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, Perl).
  • Experience in release excellence or software testing.
  • Experience with version control systems, CI/CD and test automation tools.
