About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Web Services Development Center Germany GmbH - R28. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing the core compute platforms for Amazon's cloud computing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop software components for our Linux-based cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine technical direction and implement solutions
- Lead small project teams and make significant contributions to the project

Requirements

- Several years of professional software development experience
- Industry experience focused on Linux Software Development
- Experience with Graphical Desktops Development
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience working with the open source community, including upstream contributions
- Experience with distributed systems architecture and related technologies
- Experience in managing and provisioning of infrastructure through code
