Retail Operations Assistant Manager

Compensation Pay Range:
$24.50The Assistant Store Manager plays a crucial role in assisting the Store Manager with various responsibilities including sales, customer engagement, store presentation, and operational tasks. This position is responsible for overseeing the store in the absence of the Store Manager and during conflicting shifts. The Assistant Manager is expected to guide the store team in delivering exceptional service to customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Lead the store team in ensuring outstanding customer service for both retail and professional clientele.
Monitor customer service standards within the retail showroom, ensuring team members effectively execute customer service initiatives.
Collaborate with the Store Manager to maintain adequate staffing levels at the retail sales counter, particularly during peak business hours.
Assist in establishing team member objectives, providing constructive feedback on performance, coaching and mentoring staff, and ensuring ongoing training is completed.
Ensure that phone calls are answered in accordance with company standards.
Oversee the timely processing of online orders, store transfers, and customer notifications regarding shipment arrivals.
Utilize the electronic purchase order system to manage special orders and outside purchases efficiently.
Facilitate customer returns and exchanges in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring accurate refunds and proper handling of returned merchandise.
Ensure all products, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced prior to leaving the store.
Communicate Zipline messages effectively and delegate merchandising tasks as necessary.
Ensure compliance with company policies among team members, including adherence to work schedules and proper clocking procedures.
Perform all opening and closing duties for the store, including end-of-day procedures, securing funds, preparing bank deposits, and ensuring the safety of the premises.
Assist in maintaining the store's physical environment, including the building, parking lot, signage, and equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:
Completion of Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification.
Desired:
Certification as a Parts Professional; ASE Certification.
