Position Overview
The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the performance of the Sales team throughout the entire lead and opportunity lifecycle. This position is primarily responsible for assisting Area Sales Managers, engaging in cold calling, and facilitating up-selling and cross-selling initiatives. The Sales Support Specialist also provides essential templates and guidelines for sales meetings and strategic business planning.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Support Specialist collaborates closely with the Sales Manager to manage daily business operations, including reporting, data analysis, and preparation for meetings. This role is essential in fostering effective and professional relationships with various teams across the organization, including sales regions, marketing, and product channels.
- Drive additional revenue through both inbound and outbound communication efforts, lead management, and opportunity tracking for the Central Europe Market.
- Provide regional assistance to Area Sales Managers.
- Maintain high data quality standards in relevant systems.
- Adhere to established processes and systems for Lead & Pipeline Management within CRM software.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Work collaboratively with regional teams to emphasize customer service and commitment to a defined, strategic sales process.
- Support customer meetings and presentations, including cold outreach.
- Assist the Sales Team in managing Promethean Partners' daily operations, such as providing requested information, forwarding leads, and offering initial product guidance.
- Ensure accurate information management by sharing relevant sales content with the team.
- Fluency in German with strong written and spoken English skills.
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred; candidates should be highly organized and capable of multitasking.
- This role requires strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A vocational education or several years of experience in Inside Sales is advantageous.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail is essential.
- Creativity and innovative thinking are highly valued.
- Familiarity with CRM software is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Experience with Cognos is a plus.
- A basic understanding of technical concepts is beneficial.
