Your Role at Alstom

Our colleagues in Salzgitter are working daily on climate-friendly mobility. They develop and manufacture hydrogen and electric traction units, locomotives, and trams, produce bogies, and repair all types of freight wagons. The Rolling Stock & Components department offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our focus on innovation lies on green and intelligent solutions, including emission-free drive systems such as batteries and hydrogen. In this role, you will report to Christian Wiegand and work in a motivated and committed team.

Your Tasks:
  • Leading the overall project team in an international project environment, managing the core team and project managers, internal and external partners according to the project structure.
  • Creating the project plan, setting milestones, and responsibilities.
  • Representing the company towards all stakeholders, primarily our customers.
  • Delegating work packages and monitoring work results.
  • Controlling the qualitative and cost-effective implementation of project goals.
  • Continuously monitoring project progress, deriving, and implementing solution measures.
  • Professionally managing the employees involved in the project.
  • Ensuring effective project coordination and optimizing the flow of information.
  • Representing the project up to the top management of the company.

  • Completed studies in business administration, economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience as a project manager in international projects, preferably in the rail industry.
  • Deep knowledge of project management in an international environment.
  • Clear structured working style with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong affinity for technical topics and connections.
  • Confidence in negotiations and assertiveness.
  • Secure appearance in an international environment.
  • High travel readiness.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Confident communication in German and English, French knowledge is an asset.
  • High level of engagement, initiative, and team spirit.
