Reinsurance Financial Specialist

Join our dynamic Reinsurance Accounting & Valuation team at Hannover Re. We are seeking a Reinsurance Accountant for US Professional Liability on a temporary basis for a duration of 2 years. This role offers the possibility of part-time work with a minimum of 23 hours per week.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing, processing, and posting reinsurance statements of account for US operations.
- Managing claims processing, including sanction assessments.
- Contributing to the preparation of annual and quarterly financial reports in compliance with IFRS and HGB standards.
- Engaging in correspondence with both internal and external stakeholders, including communication in English.
- Collaborating on initiatives aimed at automation and digital transformation.
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A degree in business administration or relevant commercial training, complemented by professional experience in accounting or finance.
- Conversational proficiency in both English and German.
- Knowledge of accounting principles according to IFRS and HGB.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with SAP.
- A collaborative mindset and strong analytical abilities.
- A solid understanding of numerical data.
