Senior Controller for Financial Operations

MKS Instruments Deutschland GmbH is at the forefront of developing innovative process and manufacturing technologies tailored for advanced surface treatment, including electroless and electrolytic plating, as well as surface finishing. Our extensive portfolio encompasses chemistry, equipment, software, and services designed for high-tech applications across various sectors, such as data centers, consumer electronics, and communications infrastructure, along with numerous industrial and consumer applications like automotive and household appliances.

We are currently seeking a Senior Operations Controller Finance to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the success of our projects by managing project controlling for a range of initiatives, from small to large-scale projects with significant financial implications.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Operations Controller, your key duties will include:

  • Overseeing project controlling through comprehensive monitoring of project data, ensuring adherence to internal and SOX guidelines within the equipment sector.
  • Preparing global project reports and conducting audits in collaboration with management.
  • Coordinating and documenting financially relevant data, reporting to corporate headquarters, and supporting management in financial matters.
  • Conducting monthly revenue provisions, assessing receivables, and performing impairment tests.
  • Collaborating closely with international stakeholders and colleagues in corporate accounting, including interaction with external and internal auditors.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial processes and reconciliation calculations in accordance with US-GAAP/HGB/tax regulations.
  • Preparing and executing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinating forecasts for the EQ Global area and addressing tax/process-related issues across countries.
  • Creating financial results presentations for the management team.
  • Analyzing and providing insights on Working Capital Management.
Your Profile

  • Excellent diplomatic skills and strong communication abilities in both English and German.
  • Outstanding analytical and comprehension skills.
  • Several years of relevant experience in project controlling, preferably in an international context.
  • A degree in business administration or an equivalent qualification.
