Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

Malteser International is currently looking for a committed Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for a national role.

In this position, you will be instrumental in ensuring the effectiveness of projects by developing and executing monitoring strategies that correspond with project aims. You will collaborate closely with partners to improve accountability and implement best practices, enhance data integrity, conduct evaluations, and contribute to documentation that boosts project outcomes.

  • Engage with partners to formulate and implement monitoring strategies that are in line with project goals.
  • Offer technical support to partners regarding monitoring and evaluation best practices.
  • Continuously assess partner accountability and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Address monitoring challenges with partners and update the learning framework as necessary.
  • Review partner submissions, contribute to project documentation, and ensure the collection of high-quality data.
  • Evaluate partner performance against set benchmarks.
  • Oversee project monitoring and evaluation plans and ensure the secure storage of project records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Studies, Public Health, etc.)
  • A minimum of four years of proven experience in designing and executing MEAL systems within humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English with strong written communication skills; knowledge of Arabic or Turkish is a plus.
