Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Marine Surveyor in Charge to oversee a dedicated team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical and commercial services. This role involves tackling complex challenges for both external and internal clients and providing a range of effective solutions.

Location: Bremerhaven, Germany

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the survey team, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure all outputs meet both internal and external standards for quality, time, and budget.
  • Engage with clients at various levels, presenting deliverables and proposing solutions as necessary.
  • Conduct activities in compliance with internal procedures, industry standards, and relevant legislation.
  • Evaluate the scope and value of work for external clients, negotiating appropriate fees and cost structures.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members to facilitate knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Utilize client feedback to recommend improvements in processes and service delivery.
  • Lead surveys and manage high-risk activities within the marine discipline.
  • Oversee the development and performance management of a team of surveyors, including recruitment and training.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or physical sciences from a recognized institution.
  • Membership in a relevant professional organization.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in German is advantageous.
  • Residing in proximity to Bremerhaven is preferred.
