Manager of Supplier Efficiency in Project Initiatives

Your Future Role
Over 35,000 locomotives have been manufactured at our site, contributing to global transport solutions. At Alstom's historic location, the focus is not only on new builds but also on servicing the renowned Traxx locomotive platform. Our corporate functions are pivotal in enhancing and sustaining the performance of our operations. You will report to [HIRING MANAGER] and collaborate with a passionate and skilled team.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate customer needs concerning suppliers for project implementation activities (spare parts, tools, consignment, etc.), aligning with tender costing assumptions and supplier proposals, and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Assist the Project Implementation Manager in analyzing customer requirements related to supplier commitments.
- Prepare relevant documentation to represent customer and internal project implementation needs and coordinate with procurement for proper integration into supplier contracts or supplementary service agreements.
- Actively engage in negotiations with suppliers to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
- Support the back-charging process with appropriate documentation.
- Aid in monitoring the incident management process to track non-conformance reports with the Quality team.
- Share best practices in supplier management concerning project implementation with other regions, clusters, countries, projects, and product lines.
- Drive continuous improvement in cost traceability and supplier chargeback awareness to support regional management.
- Contribute to claims and negotiations with external suppliers regarding project implementation activities.
- Uphold the Alstom Code of Ethics and maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct.
About You

- Degree in Project Management, Procurement, or Finance (Internal Graduation acceptable).
- Internal EHS training.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience in Project Execution (Technical/Procurement/Finance).
- Customer and Supplier interaction.
- Contract management expertise.
- Familiarity with product knowledge.
- Skills in data analytics.
