The Vestas Service Offshore division oversees all functions related to the management and upkeep of offshore wind farms in Northern and Central Europe. With over 4 GW currently under service agreements, we are actively expanding our operations and workforce.
As part of an innovative initiative, you will be among the first to manage the latest and largest generation of Vestas offshore wind turbines, specifically the V-236. You will be integrated into a new SOV-based team for the He Dreiht wind farm, which comprises 64x V MW and boasts a total capacity of 960MW, located in the German North Sea.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all offshore operational activities
- Manage and develop personnel within the team
- Plan and assess production performance
- Develop and implement servicing and maintenance schedules
- Uphold conduct standards, discipline, and workplace culture on the SOV
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports
- Lead technical focus meetings and strategic planning for the SOV
- Manage crew interfaces on the SOV
- Develop contingency plans for vessel operations
- Control and manage wind farm downtime
- Foster and promote a robust safety culture
- Conduct turbine inspections, safety audits, and walks
- Focus on continuous improvement to enhance service quality and efficiency
- Participate in daily briefings and toolbox discussions
- Coordinate upgrade campaign planning
- Act as the primary escalation point for offshore or vessel-related challenges
- Supervise subcontractor management onboard the vessel
- Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
- Proficient in English and German, both written and spoken
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with electrical systems, particularly in wind or offshore environments, including high voltage systems
- At least 2 years in a comparable leadership role
- Valid driver's license
- Proficient in IT applications (preferably SAP, MS Office)
- Decisive and proactive in problem-solving
- Safety-oriented with a focus on quality
- Accountable and responsible for operational outcomes
- A supportive leader who fosters team development
- Able to streamline tasks for efficiency and effectiveness
- Comfortable working in offshore conditions and at heights
- Possess strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to enhancing service quality
- Motivated to be part of a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional standards for our clients
- Aware of personal limitations and willing to seek assistance when necessary
