Automated Trade Solutions Specialist - Global Legal Function (Remote EMEA)
Key Responsibilities:
As an Automated Trade Solutions Specialist, you will be an integral member of the highly skilled Global Trade Governance team. Your primary focus will be on the global implementation of SAP GTS edition for HANA. You will serve as the authority on advanced customs and international trade applications within a thoroughly managed process. Your role will involve the introduction of innovative IT functionalities and processes while collaborating with a team of experts. You will thrive in a collaborative international setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Define and implement customs and international trade processes within the IT framework based on business needs; Assist in the technical definition and execution of logics and methodologies in SAP GTS and ECC; Engage actively in the global migration initiative to SAP GTS edition for HANA; Organize and conduct workshops, training sessions, and testing procedures; Serve as an internal consultant for customs and international trade transactions; Participate in meetings, workshops, and other collaborative efforts; Document processes and regularly review presentations and user manuals; Provide support during internal and external audits; Willingness to travel occasionally.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in IT, business administration, business informatics, or a related field with a focus on international trade processes. An advanced degree is highly preferred. 7-12 years of professional experience in customs and international trade or a closely related SAP automation role. Strong experience with SAP GTS and its interfaces to ECC (SD and MM), including technical and operational support for SAP GTS and customization assistance; Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming and debugging. Ideally, experience with SAP GTS Edition for HANA implementation. Ideally, experience in IT project and change request management, as well as functional implementation of SAP GTS. Relevant experience in international IT process template rollouts. Knowledge of standard customs procedures (Import (ATLAS), Export (AES), and NCTS), as well as preferential calculation, sanctions list screening, and import/export controls. A commitment to quality, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines. A motivated team player with a proactive attitude and strong sense of responsibility. Experience with databases and analytical problem-solving. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Strong perceptual and comprehension abilities, along with a structured and systematic approach to problem-solving. Proficient in MS Office, SAP-GTS, SAP-ECC, and JIRA. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required. Additional languages (German, Spanish) are a plus.Career Development:
