Automated Trade Solutions Specialist - Global Legal Function (Remote)
Overview:
As an Automated Trade Solutions Specialist, you will be an integral member of the advanced Global Trade Governance team. Your expertise will be pivotal in the worldwide implementation of SAP GTS edition for HANA. You will focus on sophisticated customs and international trade applications, ensuring a fully controlled process from start to finish. Your role will involve introducing innovative IT functionalities and processes while collaborating with a team of specialists in a dynamic international setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement customs and international trade processes within the IT framework based on business needs;
- Assist in the technical definition and implementation of logics and methodologies in SAP GTS and ECC;
- Actively engage in the global migration initiative to SAP GTS edition for HANA;
- Organize and conduct workshops, training sessions, and testing activities;
- Serve as an internal consultant for customs and international trade transactions;
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and collaborative discussions;
- Document processes and regularly review presentations and user manuals;
- Support internal and external audit processes;
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, business administration, business informatics, or a related field with a focus on international trade processes. An advanced degree is highly preferred.
- 7-12 years of professional experience in customs and international trade or a closely related SAP automation role.
- Extensive experience with SAP GTS and its integration with ECC (SD and MM), including technical and operational support for SAP GTS and customization assistance;
- Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming and debugging.
- Ideally, experience with SAP GTS Edition for HANA implementation.
- Familiarity with IT project and change request management, and functional implementation of SAP GTS.
- Relevant experience in international IT process template rollouts.
- Knowledge of standard customs procedures (Import (ATLAS), Export (AES), and NCTS), as well as knowledge of preferential calculations, sanctions list screening, and import/export controls.
- Strong commitment to detail, quality focus, and adherence to deadlines.
- Motivated team player with a proactive approach and a sense of personal responsibility.
- Experience with databases and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
- Strong comprehension skills, complemented by an understanding of complex contexts and a structured, systematic approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient in MS Office, SAP-GTS, SAP-ECC, and JIRA.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required; additional languages (German, Spanish) are a plus.
