Position Overview:
As a Financial Analyst Intern within the Supplier Risk Management sector, you will delve into the complexities of financial stability assessments and risk evaluations of suppliers associated with Mercedes-Benz AG. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage with pressing challenges in the automotive industry, including technological advancements, global supply chain issues, and fluctuating raw material costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive financial risk assessments of the supplier portfolio.
- Analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, collaborating with external rating agencies to evaluate supplier financial health.
- Assist in the planning, controlling, and reporting of specialized supplier services.
- Prepare detailed statistical analyses and evaluations for the supplier portfolio.
- Contribute to the development of supplier risk maps to assess geographical supplier risks.
- Draft decision-making documents for management committees in both German and English, and actively participate in committee meetings.
- Engage in supplier meetings, both virtually and in-person.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Economics, preferably with a focus on Accounting or Corporate Finance.
- Previous experience in the automotive sector, management consulting, or auditing is advantageous.
- Familiarity with financial statement analysis and risk management is beneficial.
- Proficient in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to work independently.
- Team-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.
