About the Role
We are seeking a talented procurement expert to join our team at INEOS. As a Senior Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing equipment and materials that meet our business needs while achieving the best possible commercial terms.
Key Responsibilities
- Orchestrate all procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment.
- Identify and source components and systems that meet our technical and commercial requirements.
- Prepare and execute sourcing decisions for selected commodities, ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure best-in-class commercial terms.
- Fulfill project targets regarding material and tooling cost, as well as timeline.
- Monitor the global supply market for changes that impact our business.
- Develop and align category strategies across multiple functions, considering global supply market developments and internal requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain of selected categories.
- Manage and coordinate raw material fluctuations with suppliers and commodities across the category.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Commercial, and Industrialisation teams to agree on future demand plans, materials, and equipment.
- Network with the wider INEOS organisation to maximise group leverage possibilities.
Requirements
- Experience in one or more of the following categories: EE, Powertrain, Interiors, Exteriors, Accessories, Body, Chassis.
- Previous direct knowledge of procurement from concept-through-industrialisation-to-operation.
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivery.
- Able to demonstrate experiences in building and maintaining senior supplier relationships.
- Demonstrable strategic procurement experience and/or NPI (New Product Introduction).
- Ability to prioritise tasks and have effective time management and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good capability with Microsoft Office software and experience with SAP is desirable, training will be available.
- English language is mandatory and German would be beneficial.
- Significant travel involved in the role.
