We are currently seeking a Team Supervisor for our Customs Value Added Services division.

In this position, you will lead and manage your Customs VAS team, ensuring that all Value Added Services activities (including freight forwarding and landside services) and associated customs entries are executed in compliance with regulations, timelines, and the Union Customs Code, while focusing on cost efficiency and performance. Additional responsibilities may include:
- Driving cost-saving initiatives and other transformative projects within your area of responsibility.
- Leading and supporting business continuity and growth initiatives.
- Maintaining a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Working closely with the Department Manager to enhance operational processes, developments, and improvements aligned with company strategy and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
You will foster a positive working relationship within your team, supervising and nurturing their development through training initiatives, coaching, goal setting, and regular feedback sessions.
As a leader, you will establish objectives, key performance indicators, and one-on-one meetings in alignment with Maersk’s ambitions, aimed at enhancing team productivity and efficiency while managing workload and team structure.
You will also collaborate with other Maersk functional units, including Intermodal, Customer Experience, Product & Growth, and Equipment, to ensure the timely and cost-effective clearance and movement of customer cargo. Other responsibilities may include:
- Acquiring comprehensive knowledge of VAS and its regulatory framework across the team, ensuring understanding of legal requirements.
- Empowering VAS team members to take initiative when facing functional challenges.
- Escalating critical situations with appropriate recommendations.
- Ensuring the implementation of new initiatives by the team within the established global framework.
- Fostering a proactive and cost-saving mindset, driving performance and savings projects using established business intelligence methodologies.
- Contributing to the Maersk operating system and transformation efforts, cultivating that culture within the team.
- Understanding and managing the profit and loss for your geographic area.
- Serving as the first point of escalation for internal and external stakeholders.

- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the Freight Forwarding Business or Value Added Services, with a readiness to lead and develop a team.
