Financial Analyst Internship in Supplier Risk Management

Role Overview:
This internship position focuses on the financial aspects of supplier risk management within the automotive sector. The selected candidate will gain valuable insights into the complexities of financial evaluations and risk assessments associated with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive financial risk analyses of the supplier portfolio.
- Performing detailed business evaluations based on financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborating in the planning, monitoring, and reporting of specialized supplier services.
- Creating statistical analyses and evaluations for the entire supplier portfolio.
- Assisting in the development of supplier risk maps to assess geographical supplier risks.
- Preparing decision-making documents for management committees in both German and English.
- Participating in supplier meetings, both virtually and in person.
Qualifications:
- Degree in business administration or economics, preferably with a focus on accounting or corporate finance.
- Previous experience in the automotive industry, management consulting, or auditing is advantageous.
- Familiarity with financial statement analysis and risk management is beneficial.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong commitment and ability to work independently.
- Team-oriented with an analytical mindset.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both German and English.
