About Anchor: At Anchor, the safety and wellbeing of our residents is our utmost priority. We are in search of a committed Fire Safety Delivery Manager to lead our fire safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and oversee the execution of fire safety strategies, ensuring alignment with fire safety laws and the Building Safety Act.
- Manage all facets of fire safety operations, including maintenance and enhancements, to uphold high standards of legal adherence and resident satisfaction.
- Offer expert fire safety guidance and support, including emergency assistance during critical incidents, in partnership with the Health & Safety Team.
- Regularly assess and revise the Fire Safety Management Policy to ensure it aligns with legislative standards and best practices. Supervise Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) remedial actions and ensure effective compliance mechanisms are established.
- Engage with residents, leaseholders, and other stakeholders to address fire safety issues, supporting the Health & Safety Team in communications with regulatory bodies.
- Develop and enhance monitoring tools for tracking FRA actions, ensuring timely execution. Implement systems to maintain compliance information for properties.
- Lead and mentor your team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance organizational capabilities in fire safety management.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Comprehensive understanding of Fire Safety Regulations, the Building Safety Act, and related Health & Safety laws.
- Demonstrated experience in fire safety management within social housing or complex organizations.
- Strong leadership and change management abilities, with a proven track record of influencing and negotiating effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
- Experience in overseeing fire safety compliance, conducting and auditing fire risk assessments, and addressing enforcement notices.
- Strategic mindset and problem-solving skills, focused on innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- A degree or equivalent in a property/building-related field, or 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Recognized qualifications in Building Management or Fire Safety (e.g., CIOB Level 6 Building Safety Management, BSC Fire Safety and Risk Management).
- Membership in a professional organization (e.g., IFE, FPA, IFSM) and NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management (desirable).
