Role OverviewAs a Lead Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the payroll operations for our essential team members, ensuring that our workforce is compensated accurately and on time. You will oversee the payroll cycle, manage employee benefits, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of the monthly payroll cycle.
- Enhance our payroll processes by participating in technology initiatives aimed at developing scalable IT solutions.
- Administer a variety of employee benefits, including health insurance, pension plans, and other voluntary offerings.
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits, providing timely and professional support.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, including tax and labor laws.
- Maintain precise records of payroll and benefits transactions.
- Generate and analyze reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Manage relationships with various internal and external stakeholders involved in the payroll process.
- Lead the development and formalization of payroll policies and benefits.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field; payroll certifications are a plus.
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in payroll, finance, or human resources.
- Familiarity with HCM systems, particularly Workday, is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to prioritize effectively and communicate payroll progress clearly.
- Fluent in both German and English.
