Student Role in Strategic Procurement Management

Department: Purchasing and Supplier Quality

Location: Mercedes-Benz Werk Sindelfingen

Position Type: Part-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Award and Committee Management: Assist in coordinating and managing award scopes for new product initiatives with significant purchasing volumes. Your contributions will be vital from the initiation of the award process to the presentation to the award committees.
  • Organizational Support: Play an active role in the preparation and follow-up of awarding committees, collaborating closely with specialized purchasing and series management teams.
  • Documentation and Evaluation: Help create presentation materials for management and assist in the preparation of evaluations.

Cooperation:

  • Take on responsibilities for sub-projects and engage in diverse tasks that have a substantial impact on the organization.
  • Support the drafting of cooperation agreements and assist in the execution of various cooperation projects.
  • Gain insights by participating in internal and external cooperation committees at the management level.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of cooperation standards and provide advisory support for projects.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in organizing and executing team workshops, contributing significantly to various projects beyond routine operations.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in business administration, engineering, or economics.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • High commitment level and assertiveness.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to work independently.
