Role Overview
As a Revenue Data Manager, you will be pivotal in facilitating the implementation and upkeep of our revenue subledger. Your role will involve ensuring precision and delivering actionable insights that contribute to the growth of the business. Your background in revenue accounting and your proficiency with various database tools will be essential in providing valuable revenue-related information and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the deployment of our revenue subledger to enhance our revenue accounting processes, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams on country-specific rollouts and validations.
- Coordinate cross-functional processes with Product, Analytics, Engineering, and other Accounting stakeholders to gather and implement accounting requirements related to revenue data flow, driving key system initiatives and enhancements.
- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to optimize Accounting operations concerning revenue data lineage for new products and services and their implications for our subledger.
- Prepare and/or review documentation for external audit evaluations and testing, as well as SOX control documentation for internal audit teams.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in revenue accounting/finance, data analytics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of IFRS 15/accounting principles is required; familiarity with US GAAP and SOX is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills with the ability to manage large volumes of transactional data.
- Experience with tools such as NetSuite, Looker, Tableau, or Alteryx is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with adaptability to changing work environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of management and cross-functional teams, both internally and externally.
- Experience in the gig economy or marketplace sector is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English as a working language.
- Eligibility to work in the E.U. is required.
