Role Overview
As a Revenue Data Manager, you will be pivotal in the deployment and upkeep of our revenue subledger. Your role will ensure precision and deliver actionable insights that foster business expansion. Your knowledge in revenue accounting and expertise with various database tools will be essential in providing critical revenue-related data and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the rollout of our revenue subledger, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams on country-specific implementations and validations.
- Facilitate cross-departmental processes with Product, Analytics, Engineering, and other Accounting stakeholders to gather and execute accounting requirements related to revenue data flow, driving key system enhancements.
- Lead initiatives for process improvement and automation to optimize Accounting operations concerning revenue data lineage for new offerings and their implications on our subledger.
- Prepare and/or review materials for external audit assessments and SOX control documentation for internal audit teams.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses and projects as required.
Our Expectations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in revenue accounting/finance, data analytics, or a related area.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS 15/accounting principles is essential; familiarity with US GAAP and SOX is advantageous.
- Intermediate to advanced SQL proficiency and capability to manage large datasets.
- Experience with tools such as NetSuite, Looker, Tableau, or Alteryx is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with adaptability to evolving work environments.
- Ability to engage with all levels of management and cross-functional teams, both internally and externally.
- Experience in the gig economy or marketplace sector is a plus.
- Proficiency in English as a working language is required.
- Eligibility to work in the E.U. is necessary.
